I’m trying to show a fair bit of Swedish architecture here and I couldn’t do that without putting up the Tree Hotel. Architecture friends will have seen this before but will agree it’s worth looking at again.
“Treehotel was inspired by the film ”The Tree Lover” by Jonas Selberg Augustsen. It’s a tale of three men from the city who want to go back to their roots by building a tree house together. “The Tree Lover” is a philosophic story about the significance of trees for us human beings.”
All very deep but I think you’ll agree it’s mas made for some amazing ‘rooms’. Now that I’m over here I thought it could be worth a visit, so I looked up where it is and discovered its isolated to say the least. It’s 918km north of Stockholm. I’ve included some images when there is some snow as being that far north there is going to be snow for at least 7 months of the year. There is a strong environmental and sustainable focus to this developemmtn. Something that I’m discovering is that the Swede’s have a great respect for the environment and sustainable initiatives. They seem more willing to act on their theories etc than some other counties. Inspite of the location it’s definitely on the ‘to do’ list.
